There are some requirements for OMNI drivers to drive on the platform. The requirements for applicants and vehicles vary by city and state.

- A valid California Driver's License
- Be at least 25 years of age.
- Pass a background check.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Have a smartphone that is compatible with the OMNI Driver app.
Vehicles cannot be taxis or stretch limousines.
Pass driver screening: criminal background check and driving history review
The vehicle must be at least 6 years old for the rest of the categories (2018 to 2025) and registered under the driver's name or relative preferably.
Vehicles 10 years old or newer (2014 to 2017) are accepted in the category ECONOMY.
- Cars must have 4 doors and a minimum of 5-8 seatbelts including the driver, which makes it easy to load and unload luggage.
- The vehicle should be registered under a California license plate.
Vehicle inspections are required annually, and vehicle registration must be presented.

- OMNI requires its drivers to upload one of the following documents as proof of work eligibility:
• Passport
• Residence Card
• Birth Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship
• Work Permit.
